Hindu Temple of Atlanta a temple dedicated to Hindu god Lord Venkateswara, built in 1990, located in the city of Riverdale near Atlanta, Georgia. The Hindu temple of Atlanta was built in the traditional South Indian style, it is frequented by followers of Hinduism in the Greater Atlanta area.
The Hindu temple of Atlanta has two complexes – one complex with Lord Venkateswara as the presiding deity and the other with Lord Shiva as the presiding deity. In addition to the presiding deity, both complexes have shrines for other deities.
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir
The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is an Hindu temple in Atlanta located adjacent to Lilburn, Georgia. This Swaminarayan Hindu temple in Atlanta is the largest Hindu temple in the world. It is one of approximately 15 Hindu temples in the metro Atlanta area.
The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is located on 30 acres of land and the estimated cost is $19 million. The temple will serve around 1000 devotees in the Atlanta Metropolitan area and around 7000 devotees in the region during festivals. The construction of the Mandir is based on ‘Shila Shastras’ – ancient Hindu text dealing in building and sculpture techniques. The pillars of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan temple are intricately hand-carved and each pillar depicts a famous incident from Hindu scriptures. The area surrounding the pool will provide a place for contemplation and quiet meditation.

The Atlanta Hare Krishna Temple, a spiritual home cultivating and inspiring people of all religions, nationalities and cultures in devotion of God, Krishna. The Atlanta Hare Krishna Temple, located on South Ponce De Leon Avenue just west of Springdale Street, strives to provide an inspiring spiritual home for people of all religions, nationalities and cultures.
Several programs are offered in the Atlanta Hare Krishna Temple for the purpose of “glorifying God” including singing, dancing, worship, philosophy discussion and vegetarian “prasadam,” or “sanctified food/food offered to the Lord.
Shree Shakti Mandir of Atlanta
Shree Shakti mandir of Atlanta is a Hindu religious organization whose goal is to actively fulfill the spiritual, cultural, and social needs of the Hindu community. Shree Shakti mandir provides a place of worship, perform religious rites, and hold religious and cultural festivals throughout the year. Maha Shivratri Pooja will be celebrated at Shree Shakti Mandir of Atlanta every year. The Shree Shakti temple is spread over a 15,000 square-foot multi-storey facility, located on 13.5 acre site with rolling hills, at 700 James Burgess Road, Suwanee.

This Greater Atlanta Vedic Temple Society, Inc. is a non-profit, charitable, non-denominational Hindu Religious organization, dedicated for Spiritual and Social upliftment of society and remove superstition, orthodoxy and social evils such as un-touchability etc. The methods of worship are Praise – Chanting of Vedic Hymns from four primary Hindu scriptures known as Rigved, Yajurved, Samved and Athravaved.
