Chum Chum Recipe for Diwali Festival
Chum Chum is a popular Bengali (East Indian) sweet dish that is made with Paneer and prepared during diwali festival. Traditionally chum chum is served with the malai topped on it.
Ingredients required to prepare Chum Chum
Chum Chum Recipe
Cottage Cheese ( Panner ) — 500 Grams
Refined Flour ( Maida ) —- 4 table Spoon
Sugar —– 2 Cups
Water —– 2 Cups
Lemon Color Drops —– 3 to 4
Unsweetened Condensed Milk — 200 Grams
Green Cardamom Powder — 1/ 2 Table Spoon
Few Saffron kesar Strands
Chum Chum Preparation process
Take Fresh water and melt sugar and heat up to make thin syrup.
Squeeze the paneer with flour and shape into oval shaped fingers, mix in them to the sugar syrup and boil for eight minutes to ten Minutes.
Take off from heat up and mix in lemon color to the syrup.
Cool for a while and take off the chum-chums from the syrup.
Mix in saffron and cardamom powder to sugarless, creamy, condensed milk. Spread this on each piece and serve chum chum cold.
