Dal Stuffed Poori Recipe
Ingredients required:
2 cups Wheat flour
1 cup Urad Dal (Black Gram)
4 Cardamoms
4 Cloves
2 cups Water
Oil or Ghee for deep fry
4 Red Chilies
Salt to taste
1” inch piece Cinnamon
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
Dal Stuffed Poori preparation:
Make soft dough with wheat flour by adding 2 tsp oil,1 tsp of salt and by adding required quantity of water, now cover the dough with wet cloth and keep aside for about 30 minutes.
Take 1 cup of Urad Dal Soak and soak for atleast one hour and grind to make a paste by adding very little water if required. Now grind red chilies, cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon all together to powder and keep aside.
In a frying pan add 1 tbsp of oil and heat it, then add grinded urad dal paste and grinded masala powder, stir well constantly till the dal is fried and water gets absorbed.
Take kneaded dough and divide into small balls, then make small Puri’s of cup size with each ball and fill with the prepared dal mixture and seal the dough over the filling by extending the dough. Then again roll the dough as small puri and put it in oil for deep fry untill golden brown in colour on low flame. Drain and serve hot.
