Ethipothala Waterfalls
Ethipothala Waterfalls is located in Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. These falls are near 11-km from Nagarjuna sagar. Ethipothala Waterfalls is a 70 feet (21 m) high river cascade, situated on the Chandravanka River, a tributary of River Krishna. Ethipothala waterfall is a combination of three streams namely Chandravanka Vagu, Nakkala Vagu and Tummala Vagu.
Ethipothala waterfalls is a famous picnic spot, people who visit Nagarjuna sagar dam visit this ethipothala also.
The Nearest Airport is in Hyderabad, at a distance of 150-kms.
Nearest Railway Station is Macherla, which is located 29 kms from Nagarjuna Sagar Dam.
If you want to go by Bus there are number of buses run by APSRTC from Hyderabad, Vijayawada, khammam, Guntur and Warangal to Nagarjuna Sagar.

Confusion about Ethipothala: Some People assume that “Ethipothala Falls” are part of Lift Irrigation Scheme. But as far as “Ethipothala Falls” are concerned it has nothing to do with Government’s “Ethipothala Padhakam”.
There are Ranganatha and Dattatreya Temples located in the vicinity. There is crocodile breeding centre in the lagoon formed by the falls.
