Gujia Recipe
Flour – 500 gms
Khoya – 1kg
Raisins – 100 gms
Almonds – 250grams of
Oil – 1cup
Water – 200 ml
sugar – 500 gms
Gujia Preparation:
Add flour and oil, mix it properly to form a binding consistency of breadcrumbs, then add little water and knead till soft dough and set it aside covering with a damp cloth.
Now in a pan add little cooking oil and fry khoya till it becomes light brown and then add sugar and stir properly by adding almonds and raisins and fry for a few more minutes. Then remove from flame and let it cool.
Take small portion of dough and roll to small thick chapattis and fill half of the chapatti with the khoya mixture and, rolling it, seal the sides of the chapatti keeping the khoya inside it. Repeat the procedure by making few more gujia’s.
Heat oil in a deep fry pan and put gujias one by one into oil and fry them until it becomes light golden brown on low flame. Take out the gujias from oil and drain on a tissue paper.
