Kheer Bhavani temple

Kheer Bhavani temple, in Srinagar, located in the village of Tulla Mulla, dedicated to Ragnya Devi, is one of the recognized Hindu shrines. This temple is surrounded by steams and Chinar trees, is designed with stone. The goddess is represented by a sacred hexagonal spring.

This temple is thronged by devotees on the 8th of the full moon in the month of May.  Most of the devotees fast on this particular day and also assemble at the temple in large numbers.

Shankaracharya temple

Shankaracharya temple situated on the mountain known as Takht-e-Suleima, is at a height of 1,100 ft above surface level built by Raja Gopadatya in 371 BC is Dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Shankaracharya temple is visited by large number of visitors due to its architecture as well. This temple is considered to be the oldest shrine in the Kashmir valley. Tourists visiting the temple can also see a Persian inscription inside, which dates back to the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan.

Dal lake :

Dal lake, one of the most wonderful lakes in India, is the second largest lake of the state of Jammu and Kashmir Surrounded by hills on three sides, the banks of this lake are adorned by several blooming gardens and orchards. The lake is also known for its Shikaras and Houseboats for which it is visited by number of tourists.the lake has two hillocks that house the popular shrine of Shankaracharya along with Hari Parbat Temple.
