Kattu Pongali Recipe

Ingredients required:

2 cups Rice
1 cup Moong dal
8 cups Water
4 tsp Butter
2 tsp Cumin
2 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tsp Pepper powder
2 tsp Cashew nuts
Salt
Curry leaves

Kattu pongali Preparation:

Take a pressure cooker, add oil for tempering, when oil gets heated put all the ingredients as Cumin seeds, Mustard seeds, Cashew nuts Curry leaves and fry them, then add washed rice and Moong dal and water in to the cooker, then close the lid. After it gets cooked remove the lid and pour butter on the prepared Kattu pongali and serve.
