Matsyagiri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple
Sri Matsyagiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple is situated in venkatapuram village, in valigonda mandal, Nalagonda district. The people believe that Lord Vishnu has taken a fish form and is in the pond in matsyagiri located on hill top.
The Lord is swayambhu in the form of fish in the rock and thus named as Matsgiri Narasimha Swamy.
The fishes in the pond will have a Namam and Moustache. There is a saying is that the water is been coming from the bottom of this pond from the rocks. The water in the pond will be in different colors in the year as White or Green or Yellow.
Thousands of devotees visit Sri Matsyagiri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple in Valigonda mandal. The devotees feed the “divine fish”present in the temple lake with biscuits to watch them surface and to offer prayers.
We can reach the Place Matsyagiri from Hyderabad to Bhongir to Valigonda or From Hyderabad to Choutupal to Valigonda and from there Matsagiri. The Road is good till Bhongir or Valigonda from there it would be a single way and the road is having a lot of patches. Once can reach the place in Maximum of 2 Hrs.
