Nuvvula Poli Recipe
Ingredients to prepare Nuvvula Poli:
Sesame seeds/ Til : 2 cups
Jaggery (grated) : 2 cups
Maida : 1 1/2 cups
Cardamon powder : 1 1/2 teaspoon
Salt : 1/4 tea spoon
Oil/Ghee : as required
Nuvvula Poli preparation method :
Seive maida, add 1 tea spoon of oil and salt, mix and knead the dough with water.
Cover it with a moist cloth and keep aside.
Heat a pan and dry roast sesame seeds to golden brown colour.
Add jaggery and grind it into a powder in a mixie jar.
Add cardamom and mix well.
Take the maida dough and make into balls.
Flatten the dough ball a little and fill sesame seed mixture in the middle and take the sides up to seal the balls completely.
Now roll the sesame mixture filled dough into a roti on the rolling board by applying little oil.
Heat a tawa and fry the rolled out roti with some oil till they become crispy and golden brown.
Now the Nuvvula Poli is ready to serve, serve hot.
