Whole Moong Dal Vada
Ingredients to prepare Pesara Garelu :
Whole Moong dal / Pesalu | 2 cups |
Green Chillies | 10 to 12 |
Ginger | 2 to 3 inch piece |
Salt | to taste |
Oil | for deep frying |
Pesara Garelu preparation method:
Wash and soak the Pesara Pappu in water for 6 hours.
Drain the water. Grind Pesara Pappu with green chillies, salt and ginger into a little coarse or smooth paste. Use very little water if needed.
Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
Wet your hands and take a small ball of batter, flatten it on your palm or on a plastic sheet.Make a
small hole in the center. Drop these one by one in oil.
Fry it on both sides on medium flame till golden brown color.
Remove them from oil and place on a paper napkin to remove excess of oil.
Pesara Garelu or whole Moong dal vada are ready to serve. Serve hot with any chutney
