Prem Mandir Vrindavan Mathura
Prem Mandir – a ‘Temple of Love’ is a Hindu temple in Vrindavan, India. It is maintained by Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, which is an international non-profit, educational, spiritual, charitable trust. Prem Mandir is dedicated to Radha Krishna and Sita Ram. Radha Krishna are on the first level and the Sita Ram are on the second level.
The temple is Located in Vrindavan, in the district of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. Leelas of Lord Shri Krishna and Rasik saints are depicted all over the walls of the main temple.
The construction of Prem Mandir started in January 2001 and the inauguration took place from 15 to 17 February 2012. To the public the temple was opened on 17 February.
Next to Prem Mandir a 73,000 square feet, pillar-less, dome shaped satsang hall is being constructed, which can accommodate 25,000 people at a time. The temple complex is surrounded by beautiful gardens and fountains, and it has life-size depictions of four leelas of Shri Krishna – Jhulan leela, Govardhan leela, Raas leela and Kaliya Naag leela.
The temple is famous for its architectural beauty which is made out of white marble and adorned with intricate and beautiful carvings.
Sculptures of Lord Shri Krishna and his admirers,depicting fundamental occasions surrounding the Lord Krishna’s life, cover the main temple. Different scenes from Krishna’s life, such as raising the Govardhan Mountain, have been portrayed on the fringe of the Prem Mandir. The lighting of the sanctuary further glorifies its tremendous look, particularly during the night. The colored water twirls and tunes of the kirtans of Radha Krishna being played and are a general media please.
How to reach Prem Mandir :
We can reach Mathura through buses. From Mathura Bus Station, regular buses are available for the other major cities of the country.
We can reach Mathura through train. There are many regular trains from major cities of the country to Mathura. The 2 railway stations are Mathura Junction (MTJ) and Mathura Cantt. (MRT)
Mathura is 46 kilometers away from Kheria Airport (AGR), Agra, Uttar Pradesh and 136 kilometers away from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), New Delhi, Delhi.
