Sweet Garelu Recipe
1cup Jaggery powder
1 cup Wheat flour
1 cup Rice flour
1 tsp rawa
½ cup Water
½ tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp Ghee
½ tsp Poppy seeds
Oil for deep fry
Sweet Garelu Preparation:
In a pan boil water, when the water gets boiled add jaggery and ghee stir well. When jaggery gets bubbling add the diluted rawa, wheat flour and rice flour, cardamom powder and stir well on low flame until it becomes non sticky paste. Then put off flame and keep this aside till it gets warm.
Now take a kadai, pour oil for deep frying and heat it, then make small balls of the jaggery paste and press to medium thickness nad put it in the oil and fry till it turns brown colour, remove from oil and sprinkle poppy seeds on sweet garelu and serve.
